Speech Language Pathologists Don't See Color: An interVESTED Webinar (0.15 ASHA CEUs)

Declare Your Biases and Learn Your Faction: How Do We Contribute To Inequity In Communication Sciences and Disorders?

Why is it difficult for some people to discuss issues surrounding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), but easy for others? It might depend upon which faction you end up in after you have officially declared your biases. In this discussion, Dr. Ianessa Humbert uses her journey to elucidate the various cliques that impact DEI efforts, especially in academic settings.

Afterwards, our panel navigates discussions regarding biases, factions, impacts on our workplace and academic culture. By the end of this event, we hope you will have the courage to tell YOURSELF how you really feel!
